Information About Coffee
Coffee is created from coffee beans which are grown in countries that have hot, moist climates and usually grown at high altitudes. The beans are dried, roasted, ground, packaged and sold under many different brand and generic names. This single commodity provides employment for millions of people, from growers and pickers, packagers and dock workers, to baristas and coffee shop owners. Though not addictive per say it has been proven to cause physical problems in some people, ranging from increased heart rate and blood pressure. On the other hand, some studies say that coffee contains antioxidants which are substances that help ward off certain cancers and even prevent heart disease. And then there are other health ingredients like B vitamins, magnesium and potassium. Even better, unless you add sugar or milk this drink carries no calories or fat content; a blessing for dieters. Try the Basic Reset coffee products that are organic plus they have a healthy line of coffee.
Coffee has other uses besides that as a beverage. The main ingredient, caffeine, is often added to drugs to increase that drugs efficiency. Its’ stimulating affects are well known so it is also a popular addition to sport and other beverages that people use to give them that little extra boost of energy they need when a good night’s sleep wasn’t enough.
Caffeine is actually somewhat addictive in nature which may be why many people drink coffee. Many scientific studies have been done on the addictive properties of caffeine so do an internet search to access this information yourself. Whether it is used for a hot drink, a cold iced and flavored beverage, or as an ingredient in baking, coffee is consumed worldwide in many different forms. It may be an addiction simply because it is such a versatile and taste satisfying commodity. This holds much truth because millions of Americans drink decaffeinated coffee everyday or like myself drink half-caff coffee which contains 50% less caffeine then regular coffee contains.
